Each year, the Airdrie Business Awards works to improve the awards process and to increase the number of awards that are celebrated.
In 2017, the Airdrie Business Awards Committee made some changes to the business awards. The Eco Edge Award was given a new name: the Environmental Stewardship Award and the Family Friendly Award was changed to the Employer Excellence Award. These changes were made to broaden the scope of businesses that would be celebrated and acknowledged and to provide clarity to the awards in order to simplify the nomination process.
In 2018, the Airdrie Business Awards Committee eliminated the Environmental Stewardship Award, and replaced it with the Franchise Business Award.
